Hollywood visual effects artists are still the masters of making entire planets explode in an awesome fashion, but that doesn't make this high-speed footage of a desk globe detonating any less fun to watch. As far as simulations go this doesn't accurately represent how our planet will probably meet its demise at the hands of an interstellar super-villain, but it's hard to nitpick when things going boom is always so entertaining.
